I have a CHEAP teeth-whitening tip for you.

The TODAY show had a DENTIST as a guest recently who reported on teeth whitening.

0             He said that over-whitening cannot weaken your enamel, though he did say that over-whitening can cause a translucent appearance.

0             He said that most products say to use them for 30-45 minutes, but 8 minutes is enough.

0             He said that all products with hydrogen peroxide are similar in effectiveness.

His information caused me to look at the bottle of 2% hydrogen peroxide (cost about $1) in my medicine cabinet.  The label says “For use as an Antiseptic Gargle or Rinse.”  I have been using it once a day for 3 days, swishing it in my mouth for 2 min, and not eating anything for a half-hour after that.  I have been pleased at the whitening effect and really pleased at the cost.
