Well, kids took the news pretty great, we told them me and them (4 of 'em!) are moving in with Grandma and that Daddy will move up there when he is done with work. They are great with that and since Grandma lives in the same town we did before we moved here almost a couple years ago - they can't wait! So, I am busy packing, squeezing in some homeschooling and cleaning - mostly dusting (my most dreaded chore). I am so looking forward to just being me and the kids without a new drama or emotion or crisis. So, we make the drive from southern Riverside County, California (about 2 hours from the Mexico border) all the way up to Portland/Vancouver Oregon/Washington. Can't wait!

Well, I am not sure if this is how you update your post or blog, but here goes! We made the move without incident and quite successfully! The kids are happy and seem to have adjusted well. They still don't know about the official situation and we plan on telling them on his first visit, next month. So, we'll see how it goes. As for here, Grandma bought a trampoline and so they have started summer very active! I like being here and feel supported by my family. Money is tight but it couldn't be better! I feel like it was the right move at the right time and am relieved. So, more later! ps - thanks to all for encouraging words! :) Mari |

TerriThere are other members in Oregon, so hopefully you will be able to contact them and have a ready-made circle of friends waiting for you.
