I am going through a divorce, and soon it will be final. I am just beginning to discover, or rediscover, the woman I was before I married. I have good days and feel on top of the world, and I have bad days and worry about how my life has changed.
The bottom line is that I am at this point in life, and it was not my choice. However, I know that I must make the best of it and can learn something from the whole experience and grow for the better. I love a quote that I heard at the begining of my divorce, and repeat it to myself often. "It's not what they take away from you that matters, it's what you do with what you have left". I am learning to be strong and have fun, and would love to meet other women who are doing the same. Perhaps more importantly, I would love to be a mentor to others who are just starting out on this journey of divorce.
